Privacy Policy

Step Dungeon (stepdungeon.com) is a free browser puzzle game. This page explains what information the site handles and how.
What we store on your device
The game saves your progress in your browser's local storage: which levels you have unlocked, your best star ratings, your sound preference, and (if you use the level editor) your level drafts. This data never leaves your device — we have no servers that receive it, no accounts, and no way to see it. Clearing your browser's site data erases it.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, which may be personalized based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can read about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or certain other regions, you will be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are used, via a consent message provided by Google's certified consent management platform. You can change your choice at any time from that message's options.
Analytics
We do not currently use any analytics services.
Children
Step Dungeon is a general-audience game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children — the site collects no personal information at all beyond what Google's advertising services process as described above.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
